FAQ
The questions we get most.
How long until it arrives?
Production typically takes about 2 business days. After that:
Standard: tracked delivery, typically 5–8 business days after your order ships.
Priority: priority courier, typically 1–2 business days after dispatch, with tracking.
Next-Day: arrives the next business day after your order ships.
What size should I get?
The art should usually be about two-thirds the width of the furniture below it (sofa, bed, console). Our size guide shows each frame size on a typical wall for scale, and there’s a printable template you can tape up before you order.
How do I pick a frame color?
The frame is part of the room, not part of the painting. Pick a tone that matches your existing wood (floors, side tables, dresser). Natural and Brown read warm; Black and White read modern; Gold reads formal. The preview on every product page shows live frame swaps. Try a few.
Mat or no mat?
A mat (the white or black border between the print and the frame) makes the piece feel bigger and more “gallery.” Skip it if you want the artwork edge-to-edge inside the frame. Both look great; it’s a taste call.
Is it easy to hang?
Yes. Every Curata print ships with the hanging hardware pre-installed on the back and a paper template you can tape to the wall to mark the nail. Most pieces are one nail, ten minutes.
Are these real paintings, or prints?
They’re high-quality reproductions of famous works that are now in the public domain. The originals hang in museums. We make museum-quality prints of them so people can have great art at home without museum prices. Every Curata print is made to order, but it is a print, not an original.
Are these limited editions?
No, they’re open editions. The reason is simple: limited editions exist to manufacture scarcity. Our goal is the opposite, to make beautiful work available to anyone who wants it.
What paper do you use?
Two options. Hahnemühle Textured (textured, heavyweight) for painterly works like oils and watercolors. Matte Fine-Art Paper (smooth, lighter) for graphic and contemporary work. Both are acid-free and built to last a century without fading.
Do you ship internationally?
Right now we ship within the United States. We’ll add more destinations as we go.
What if something is wrong with my order?
Email [email protected] within 7 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos. We’ll refund or replace your order at no cost to you if it arrives damaged, anything is missing, what arrived doesn’t match what was shown, or the print has a quality issue we should have caught. Because every Curata print is made to order, we can’t accept change-of-mind returns. Full details on the returns page.
How do I reach you?
[email protected]. We reply within one business day, usually within a few hours during business hours.
